Second to none: Mitutoyo and the 44th WorldSkills competition

worldskills1.jpgIt is truly an event second to none: Close to 1,300 participants from almost 60 countries will take part in the 44th WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi, a biennial event bringing together young professionals from all over the world.

worldskills2.jpgFrom October 15 through 19, 2017, the United Arab Emirates is the first country in the Middle East to host a WorldSkills Competition, aiming to inspire young people to study technical education and vocational skills for entrepreneurship or for their career.

As a premium manufacturer of outstanding longitudinal measuring instruments Mitutoyo will support competition areas in the manufacturing sector with its technical expertise, measuring machines and over 800 instruments being made available for competitor use.

The Japanese company will also show samples of their extensive product range and their application along with education, training and career advice to the many visitors.

The organisation teams – amongst them more than 1,000 volunteers – expect more than 100,000 visitors from the UAE and another 10,000 from other countries. Participants compete in no less than 51 skill competitions from six different sectors.

The WSAD2017 is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
